چکیده
257 Material Computation therefore directly linked to the influences of force acting upon it. Material is concentrated in regions of high strength and dispersed in areas where stiffness is not required. The implications of Nature’s structural heterogeneity, achieved through the informed distribution of composites, holds significant implications from a design perspective. The control of material structure and orientation allows for an almost unlimited design space in terms of geometrical and topological variation. It promotes high levels of functional integration through the assignment of graduated properties; it supports the matching between material property distribution and continuous load paths; and, finally, it allows the designer to consider the possibility of adaptive response, and even real growth.

A New Subdomain Method for Performances Computation in Interior Permanent-Magnet (IPM) Machines
In this research work, an improved two-dimensional semi-analytical subdomain based method for performance computation in IPM machine considering infinite-/finite-magnetic material permeability in pseudo-Cartesian coordinates by using hyperbolic functions has been presented. In the developed technique, all subdomains are divided into periodic or non-periodic regions with homogeneous or non-homog...
متن کاملComputation of the linear Schrodinger Energy levels by Sinc method
Computation of the Schrodinger equation energy levels is very important in physics. For example we can use these levels to calculate the absorption coefficient and light refraction in a material as well as calculation of the interband and intersubband transition energies. Density of states of the system can also be obtained by using the energy levels. Thereafter we can determine that the system...

Numerical modeling of machining processes is of significance in the parametric analysis and optimization of their performance. In this paper, a finite element-based model of abrasive waterjet (AWJ) cutting of a ductile material is presented with the help of an explicit, nonlinear finite element method. In this model, both solid-solid interaction and fluid-structure interaction are considered. T...
متن کاملNumerical Computation of Rolling Resistance Based on the Result of Tire/Road Static Contact Analysis
Among various dissipating mechanisms, the viscoelastic effect of rubber material on creation of rolling resistance is responsible for 10-33% dissipation of supplied power at the tire/road interaction surface. So, evaluating this kind of loss is very essential in any analysis concerned with improving the fuel consumption of vehicles and resultantly energy savage. Hysteretic loss is a fraction of...
متن کاملMaterial-based Design Computation An Inquiry into Digital Simulation of Physical Material Properties as Design Generators
The paper demonstrates the association between geometry and material behavior, specifically the elastic properties of resin impregnated latex membranes, by means of homogenizing protocols which translate physical properties into geometrical functions. Resin-impregnation patterns are applied to 2-D pre-stretched form-active tension systems to induce 3-D curvature upon release. This method enables...
